Are you looking for a way to be a great Tooth Fairy and keep the tradition alive? The fairy has been around for over a century. It is likely that you’ve had your own experiences but trying to find ways to make tradition new and exciting can be difficult. Remember, everyone has their own take on traditions but here are a few ideas to help get you started:
Tooth Fairy Pillows
-You can use a traditionally shaped pillow with a pocket to hold the tooth.
-Let your child draw a picture of the fairy using fabric crayons on white paper, then transfer the drawing to fabric with an iron before making the pillow.
-You could make a pillow shaped like a tooth.
-Whatever you do, let your creativity flow and have fun!
Rewards
-Many children receive money in exchange for their teeth.
-Consider an alternative reward at times—tickets to the zoo, a special toy, a new book, healthy snack, etc.
-Some fairies give bigger rewards for teeth with no cavities.
-You may want to put together a Tooth Fairy Kit with the necessary supplies on hand so you’re never unprepared.
-If you’re ever low on funds, you can write an I.O.U. note from the fairy explaining that a lot of children lost their teeth that night and promise to bring the reward on the following night.
